Peter loved Jesus but struggled with seeking the approval of others. Despite his bold vow to never forsake Jesus, fear led him to deny Him three times during His trial. When the rooster crowed, Peter, broken by Jesus’ compassionate gaze, wept bitterly. Transformed, Peter no longer sought the crowd’s approval, but boldly proclaimed God’s truth. His unwavering faith was proven when he chose crucifixion over denying Jesus again.
