When the ancient Israelites left Egypt God instituted the earthy tabernacle which was to represent and reflect the Temple of God in heaven. Each part of the tabernacle was intricately and purposefully built to represent Christ and his ultimate sacrifice on the cross. Israelites would come there to have their sins forgiven.
