The 10 Commandments

What are the 10 Commandments?

The 10 Commandments were written thousands of years ago, given to Gods chosen people as sign of his covenant. This divine law guides the behaviour and beliefs of countless individuals and societies. Not only were the 10 commandments written to strengthen our relationship with God but also to guide our conduct with the people around us. Discover what the 10 commandments say about the rules that govern our everyday lives and whether it is necessary to follow the 10 commandments to be saved.

Are the 10 Commandments still relevant today?

The first 4 commandments speak about our relationship with God. The last 6 commandments speak about our relationship to fellow man. We are to respect our parents, we are not to lie, cheat, or steal. While it may seem like the 10 Commandments are an outdated set of laws they still hold true in a world of uncertainty and chaos. In fact many of our modern laws are based on the timeless principles which are found in the bible.
